UPDATE: James Street Fire Ruled Suspicious
MILFORD — A fire at 109 S. James St., Milford, has been ruled suspicious.
Firefighters from Milford and Leesburg were called to the home at approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 29. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Milford Fire Department, along with the Warsaw Wayne Territory Fire Department completed a cause and origin investigation Sunday. The fire was determined to have originated inside a covered porch on the southeast facing elevation of the home. The owner of the residence, K-Development Inc., has been notified and has been assisting authorities as the investigation continues. K-Development Inc. is owned by Roger Korenstra.
Three possible witnesses were observed near the fire — all males in their late teens and early 20s. Milford Police Department would like to speak with those individuals.
