Cancer Care Fund Dinner, Auction Is Aug. 25
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The 2018 Annual Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County Dinner/Dance and Auction will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. This year’s theme is “A Caribbean Night.” The evening of music and giving includes dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction.
The Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County is administered by the K21 Health Foundation. The funds are raised from the annual golf outing, memorials, Freaky 5K Fun Run/Walk, dinner and auctions and other donations.
In the first 6 months of 2018, the fund has distributed $107,613.88 to 76 patients.
This year’s event will be held at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, 7245 N. Kalorama Road, Leesburg and is $125 a plate. Limited seating; attire is dressy casual.
This year’s theme, “A Caribbean Night,” features reggae music by Gizzae, a band out of Chicago that has been playing and touring for over 35 years. The group has won Grammy awards, Chicago Music Awards and have opened for some of the biggest names in Reggae.
A silent auction featuring a wide range of items, while guests are enjoying hors d’ oeuvres, cocktails and listening to reggae.
After dinner, the live auction begins. Between the silent and live auctions, there’s over 50 items that have been generously donated.
