GOSHEN BLUE BLAZERS 3, WAWASEE JV 1
A new opponent to the Wawasee schedule saw the Goshen Blue Blazers steal a win in Syracuse.
The home school outfit took game one 25-10 only for the hosts to take game two 25-20. The Blue Blazers then stunned the Lady Warriors 25-14, 25-20 to claim the win.
Stat leaders for the Lady Warriors were Morgan Heche with 19 digs and three aces, Leslie Vazquez with 18 digs and five kills, Delaney Hare with 13 digs and three aces, Kai Jamora with 15 digs and 12 assists, Emma Dippon with nine kills and Corin Nyce with five assists.
Wawasee falls to 7-3 overall with a match Tuesday at Manchester.
WAWASEE FRESHMAN 2, GOSHEN BLUE BLAZERS 1
The freshman outfit from Wawasee remained unbeaten by rallying past the Blue Blazers 20-25, 25-17, 15-12.
A host of Wawasee players had a hand in the victory. Amber Beer had three kills, three digs and three aces, Laney Gross had nine assists and two kills, Gloria Slabaugh had six digs and four aces, Talia Kuhl had eight digs, two kills and an ace, Dylan Konieczny had five kills and two solo blocks and Jenna Knepp had three digs and two aces.
Wawasee moves to 5-0 on the year with its next game Thursday at home against Plymouth.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY C TEAM 2-0 VERSUS NORTHWOOD, BREMEN
The Tippecanoe Valley C team moved to 5-0 on the campaign with wins over NorthWood and Bremen. The Vikings beat the Panthers 25-17, 25-24 and the Lions 25-3, 25-17.
Stat leaders for the Vikings included Mallory Durkes with 12 kills, Allisyn Evans with 14 digs, Ashley Butler with 20 assists and seven aces, and Mackenzie Costello with six aces.
