WARSAW 25, GOSHEN 32
The Warsaw boys cross country team won its Northern Lakes Conference opener via a 25-32 score versus Goshen in a dual meet Thursday.
Zeb Hernandez led the Tigers in second place overall with a 17:03 time followed by Sam Lechlitner in third with a 17:10 stop of the clock. Tanner Stiver placed fifth in 17:32. Jacob Kissling and Fernando Niebbia were seventh and eighth with respective times of 17:35 and 17:42, Jack Horoho was 10th in 17:59 for the Tigers.

NORTHWOOD 27, WAWASEE 30; WAWASEE 25, NORTHRIDGE 30; NORTHWOOD 24, NORTHRIDGE 33
NorthWood’s boys cross country team earned a pair of Northern Lakes Conference wins over both Wawasee and Northridge Thursday, while the Warriors split the meet with a win over Ridge.
Tyler Evers paced NorthWood in second place overall just a second behind Wawasee’s Luke Griner, with an 18:04 stop to Griner’s winning18:03 time. Garrett Myers placed sixth in 18:59, Sam Schlatter was eighth in 19:10, Stephen Schmidt placed ninth in 19:15, and Carson Martin was 11th in 19:33 for Wood.
Michael Hammer was third overall, just back of teammate Griner and Evers with a time of 18:06. Camden Powell finished in 19:05 for seventh place, and Bennett Hoffert and Karlson Hand were 14th and 15th, respectively, with times of 19:40 and 19:43.
Jon Eisenstadt and Jack Moore paced Northridge in fourth and fifth, respectively, at 18:36 and 18:41.
NORTHRIDGE 27, WAWASEE 28; NORTHWOOD 28, WAWASEE 28
Wawasee’s girls cross country team dropped a pair of Northern Lakes Conference matches by heartbreakingly close margins Thursday, falling to Northridge by a single point and to NorthWood by a sixth score tiebreaker.
McKenzie Smith paced the field, clocking 21:29 for first place. Bailey Mayhew and Emma Ebright were sixth and seventh, respectively, with times of 23:13. Lily Tyler was 12th in 23:55, and Ella Beazley was 15th in a time of 24:10.

LAKEVIEW VS CRESTVIEW VS RIVERVIEW
The Lakeview cross country teams both outran their competition, the girls scoring 29 to Crestview’s 53 and Riverview’s 39, and the boys scored a 23 to Riverview’s 37 and Crestview’s 73.
Edward Robison broke the tape in the boys race with an 11:01 to lead Lakeview and the rest of the field. Garrett Hall, Bryson Brown, Bryce Duncan, Levi Perry and Mason Williamson finished in order in fourth through eighth with times of 11:44, 11:45.3, 11:45.6, 11:50 and 12:34.
In the girls’ race, Rylee Burns and Joey Rastrelli were second and third, respectively, with times of 12:30 and 12:48. Mikayla Mimnaugh finished fifth in 12:57, Claire Sprankle was ninth in 14:12, and Elizabeth VanderBie and Lucy Henn were 10th and 11th in 14:18 and 14:22.
