WCHS Trio Named Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists
WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School recently announced that three students were named National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists.
The honorees are Lydia Harrison, daughter of Robert and Sara Harrison of Warsaw; Zachary Morgan, son of Tom and Kimberly Morgan, Winona Lake; and Jarrett Orr, son of Tom and Teresa Orr, Winona Lake.
According to Nationalmerit.org, “The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year—and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
