According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Saturday, Nov. 3, an officer with the Milford Police Department responded to a domestic battery in front of Price Auto in Milford. When the officer arrived, a female ran from a male subject, crying and yelling, “Thank you for saving me.”
The female was observed to have blood on her nose. She told the officer that Howard hit her in the mouth and nose. She advised they were arguing when Howard struck her in the face and bit her hand. The officer observed dried blood on the palm of her hand.
Information provided in the affidavit states that the officer then spoke with Howard, who admitted that he and the female got into an argument. Howard told police that during the altercation, the female’s hand got in his face and got caught on his teeth. He stated he did not know what caused the bleeding from the female’s mouth.
The officer discovered a large amount of blood splattered throughout the interior of the vehicle. Howard was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on Saturday, Nov. 3, on a $1,000 cash bond.
