Drugs Discovered In Vehicle, Warsaw Woman Charged
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman is facing charges after police allegedly discovered methamphetamine in her vehicle.
Stephanie L. Dickey, 48, 604 S. Lake St., Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Monday, Nov. 5, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to a residence. The officer observed Dickey’s vehicle still running with the headlights on. The officer could see a glass smoking device inside the vehicle.
A K-9 unit arrived at the scene and performed an outer air search of the vehicle. The K-9 made a positive alert for illegal drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted. Police reportedly located multiple glass smoking devices, cut straws containing white residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and two plastic bags containing a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Dickey was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Monday, Dec. 3, on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
