Margaret Markley
Margaret L. Markley, 101, lifelong resident of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on the morning of Thursday January 10, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.
She was born on April 21, 1917 in Kewanna, Indiana to Clifford and Gertrude Wisely Lamborn. She graduated with the class of 1935 from Plymouth High School.
She married Glenn D. Markley on Sept. 4, 1937 in Plymouth, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1994.
Margaret was the oldest living member at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth.
She is survived by her daughters: Beverly (John) Eckert, Naperville, Ill. and Peggy (Ron) Smith, Plymouth, and one son, Richard (Karen) Markley, Plymouth; grandchildren: Julie Eckert, Naperville, Ill., Jennifer Eckert Schneid, Wood Ridge, Illl, Chris Scheetz, Frisco, Texas, Stephanie Scheetz, Indianapolis, Brent Markley, Tippecanoe, Tricia Witmer, Plymouth and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister: Hilda Bowman, Plymouth.
Visitation for Margaret will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 13, 2019, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Stueve officiating. Interment will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following the services.
