KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a death at 3601 North SR 19, Etna Green, yesterday, Jan. 24. 

The deceased male was identified as Jeffrey Lester, 43, in an official police report. The report noted that around 2 a.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the Marathon Gas Station in reference to a welfare check.

Lester was transported to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center for an autopsy by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. Kosciusko County Coroner Anthony Ciriello advised that they were waiting on the toxicology report which could take up to four weeks. Currently, it does not appear that foul play was involved in the death. 

While the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office advised in their initial press release that further information will be released as the investigation progresses, as of this afternoon a representative told Ink Free News that no further press releases on this matter would be released.
