Warsaw Man Arrested For Strangulation
WARSAW — A Warsaw man faces multiple charges after police say he pushed a woman down during an argument and began to choke her.
Dustin Lawrence Swindle, 30, 2271 S. Cost-A-Plenty Road 3, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; domestic battery with a child younger than 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, officers were called to a county residence on Feb. 22 to investigate a possible domestic battery.
Officers reported talking to a woman who identified Swindle as having pushed her down during an argument. She told police he then got on top of her and began choking her, making it difficult for her to breathe.
The woman also told police that two minor children were present during the incident. She said when she called police, Swindle left the residence.
Officers reported finding Swindle, who they say admitted to pushing the woman down.
