Bell Memorial Public Library To Host Doughnut Making Party For Teens
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library is currently working on having old microfilm, pictures, documents and other Mentone history digitized.
This is a work in progress and it will take some time, but the goal is to make them available in the library’s catalog so that you can peruse at your own convenience on a computer, tablet, or other device.
The library has many popular television series, both new and old, on DVD that are available for check-out. You must have a library card to check out items. These are some of what the library currently has available: “Mountain Men, “Murdock Mysteries,” “Nash Bridges, “Once Upon A Time” and “Outlanders.” Several of the library’s television series such as “Modern Family” haven’t circulated in quite some time. Hurry in and check out your favorites before they disappear.
Preschool story hour takes place at 10 a.m. every Friday in the library’s children’s room. The theme for Friday, March 15 is Three Little Pigs. Stories that will be read include “The Three Little Superpigs” by Claire Evans and “The Three Little Pigs” by James Marshall. Children can make a pig puppet for their craft.
Teen Book Club will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 19. If you are interested in joining, please contact Elyza Oswald at (574) 353-7234.
New books coming to the library soon include “The 18th Abduction” by James Patterson, “The A List” by Judith A. Jance, “Bailey’s Story” by Bruce W. Cameron, “Bitter Brew” by G.A. McKevett, “Ellie’s Story” by Bruce W. Cameron, “Far and Away” by Fern Michaels, “Krakatoa” by Simon Winchester, “Max’s Story” by Bruce W. Cameron and “Miracle at St. Andrews” by James Patterson.

Cost of this class is $5 and sign-up is requested to ensure the library has enough materials for everyone.
