BREAKING: Kosciusko County Jail Inmate Death Ruled Suicide
KOSCIUSKO — Indiana State Police have ruled the death of a Kosciusko County Jail inmate on April 8 as suicide by hanging.
ISP officials issued a press release on Wednesday, April 24, regarding the death of Christopher Andrew Hinson, 42, of North Webster who was found in his jail cell unresponsive and later pronounced dead at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Hinson was booked into the jail on March 26, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance. He was held on $10,250 surety and cash bond.
According to news reports, Hinson was found in his jail cell unresponsive and CPR was immediately administered, which proved unsuccessful. He was transported to the hospital and the state police were contacted.
The state police said a full report from the Kosciusko County Coroner’s office would not be available immediately and could take up to 12 weeks.
