Old Warsaw City Hall Quickly Disappearing
WARSAW — The old Warsaw City Hall is quickly being demolished.
SiteWorx Services, of Warsaw, appeared to be about halfway through its mission of demolishing the building at the southeast corner of High and Market streets late Monday morning, April 29.
The former city property was acquired by Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church last year. Church leaders intend to use the land for parking.
Jason Conley, the owner of SiteWorx, said the remaining second half of the building, which is connected to Service Electric, to the east, will be a challenging part of the project.
Another challenge was dismantling a cement tower because of its proximity to the other building, according to Conley.
SiteWorx plans to donate money from recycled scrap materials back to the church for its children’s programming.
