WARSAW — Even with cloudy skies, the weather stayed dry for the “Musical May” First Friday event in downtown Warsaw on May 3.

Several musical artists and groups performed at the event, including Beez and the Rocker; acoustic duo Two of Us; Baile Folklorico; and local musician David Haney.

While relaxing and enjoying the performances on Center and Buffalo Streets, First Friday attendees enjoyed a variety of foods from vendors, including pretzels and BBQ.

“Go Baby Go,” an Edgewood Middle School project, was also demonstrated at the event. STEM students developed 12-volt electric cars for three young toddlers whose physical impairments don’t allow for as much mobility.

Crossroads Community Church, Winona Lake, also hosted a kid’s zone at First Friday, with inflatable children’s attractions for kids to enjoy.

This month’s May event was sponsored by Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation, the City of Warsaw and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation.
