Yeo Charged With Theft From Former Employer
MARSHALL COUNTY — Jennifer Kay Yeo, 46, Bourbon, was arrested and charged with theft after stealing from her employer.
Yeo was arrested June 12 by the Bourbon Police Department on a warrant and taken to the Marshall County Jail. She is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was notified Tuesday, April 9, by the owners of B & G Truck Conversions of a theft from the business by Yeo, who was then a former employee. Yeo held the position of office manager at the business whose responsibilities included maintaining the office daily operations and procedures as well as preparing payroll and other business finances.
It was learned during the course of employment, Yeo defrauded the company by creating false business expenditures to show debts paid by the business, however then forged business checks for the amount of the expenditures to her own name. More than 130 forged business checks in her name were found with a total in excess of $130,000.
A formal case report was presented to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant issued.
