Village At Winona Welcomes New Wine Shop
WINONA LAKE — A small gathering stood on the front porch of 807 E. Canal St., Winona Lake, as the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce and the Village At Winona welcomed that area’s newest business with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, June 20.
Port Winona Wine & Market opened about a month ago, according to co-owner Tiffany Aites, who owns the business with partner Jim Zachary. “This is really exciting for Jim and me,” she said at the ribbon cutting. “We have wines from all over the world. It’s a great space and to have a view of the canal is a bonus.”
Aites describes the shop as a merging of a wine cafe and a marketplace. The business will also feature other beverages, as well as meats, cheeses and small grocery items.
Aites said she plans to host wine tasting and classes.
