Missing Man Is Crime of the Week
This week’s Crime of the Week comes from the files of the Akron Police Department.
On Feb. 3, 2013, the Akron Police Department took a report of a missing person. Amber Paredes had called to report that her husband, Ruben Paredes, had not returned home and she has not heard from him.
Ruben left his residence on Feb. 1 and stated he was headed to a friend’s residence in Green Acres Mobile Home Park in Warsaw. At approximately 11 p.m. Ruben called his wife and stated he was still at his friend’s residence but would be home shortly. Ruben never returned home.
On Tuesday, Feb. 5, Ruben’s vehicle was found abandoned in Chicago. It was located on the south side of the city in a business district in front of a church. It had reportedly been left a few days earlier.
Ruben is a 32-year-old Hispanic male. He is 5’8, 180 pounds with tattoos on his back, chest and both upper arms.
