Looking Back, Organizers Pleased with Revamped Pierceton Days Festival
PIERCETON — The Pierceton Chamber of Commerce would like to publicly thank the many attendees who joined us in Brower Park and downtown Pierceton last weekend, Aug. 2 and 3, during the annual Pierceton Days Festival.
This year the Pierceton Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Pierceton Fire Department and community partners to celebrate the town of Pierceton revamping the festival in its entirety to make a festival centered around being a family-friendly event.
This year’s festival provided families the opportunity to come together and celebrate one another through their Honor Your Hero theme. This event included multiple vendors, cost-efficient inflatables, free entertainment from five different bands throughout the weekend, a Beer and Wine Tent sponsored by Bar 13 on Saturday night and a guest celebrity of Tyler Sherwin with his TS Magic Show sponsored by Shiloh Industries.
Friday night festival-goers found the downtown area full of cars, trucks and motorcycles for the annual show. Winners of the show included Best of Show of Car and Truck category given to Kenny Elder and Best of Show Motorcycle category given to Chad White. Also, People’s Choice winner for the category of Car and Truck was awarded to Charles Rush and for the category of Motorcycle, the winner was awarded to Devery & Kim Winterrowd.
The excitement and entertainment continued through Saturday. Early afternoon, the 2019 Pierceton Days Cutie Contestants were selected. Winners included Addilyn Cahill, Lincoln Bays, Owen Powel, Briggs Bradley, and Zoie Thus. Although the pageant had taken place prior to this weekend, our Cutie Contestant winners joined the Royal Court with 2019 Pageant winners Trinity, Bryse, Arriyanna, Gracelynn, Clayton, Bentley, and Jorja.
The annual Pierceton Days Festival Parade continued with the Honor Your Hero theme as attendees took the time to honor those who have impacted their lives.
Parade awards were given out to five different categories including Kerlin Motor Company as the Antique Vehicle category winner, Whitko Marching Band as the Marching Unit category winner, Trinity Thomas as the Kids Unit category winner, Collier Family as the Theme Float category winner and Indiana Racing Lions as the Misc. Unit category winner.
The 2019 Pierceton Days Festival concluded in Brower Park with a firework display sponsored by LexLil Contracting. This event would not have taken place without the support of our sponsors.
