SYRACUSE — Many students in this year’s senior class at Wawasee High School were born in 2001. As a way to remember Sept. 11, 2001, Wawasee Performing Arts will be presenting “110 Stories” based on the book of the same name by Sarah Tuft.

Awan Bautz is one of the cast members for the upcoming Wawasee Performing Arts production.

This two-hour performance will take place beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the high school auditorium.

“110 Stories” is a moment-by-moment journey through 9-11 as told by eyewitnesses, survivors and recovery workers. These “everyday people” include a photojournalist, a mother, an ironworker, a nurse, a massage therapist and a homeless man who saved lives that day too.

It memorializes 9-11 without the politics or hyperbole, instead of restoring the human side to history by honoring the human capacity for compassion.

Admission is free to the event, but donations will be accepted to go to first responders in the area.

Cast members include Nick Lesko, Evan Coblentz, Andrik Bautista, Anna Clark, Bennett Mickley, Grace Morrison, Calvin Fancil, Devin Van Lue, Nyla White, Kasey Gunkel, Awan Bautz, Lila Fierek, Bekah Whirledge, Serena Lesko, Ray Lenoir, Dylan Minear and Clay Coblentz.
