Soccer Results: Sept. 3
LCA BOYS 6, WINAMAC 1
Parker Stewart had the hot hand, or rather foot, Tuesday, scoring four goals as the Cougars rolled over the visiting Warriors. Stewart scored twice in the first half, then potted two more in the first nine minutes of the second half as LCA pulled away. Michael Easterling and Garrett McKeever added a goal and assist each. Peter Koller and Brayden Lane combined for four stops to secure the win.
“The team was challenged to win balls out of the air today and they did that well,” said LCA coach Dan Miller. “We controlled play with our possession of the ball, Winamac was unable to get many quality chances, credit our defense and midfield for making it difficult. Parker Stewart played a great game, and Michael Easterling was a handful all evening. We have a huge challenge in Argos on Thursday. We’re looking forward to that big conference game.”
