North Webster Library Has Movies For Adults, Kids
NORTH WEBSTER — It’s movie time at North Webster Community Public Library with a movie matinee for adults at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, and a family movie at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
The Adult Services Department will be showing a classic 1938 romantic madcap comedy with iconic actors. It is rated G and runs one hour 42 minutes. The Youth Department will show a 2019 animated sequel about the life pets lead when their owners are not around. It is rated PG with a one hour 26 minute run time. Both movies are free. Adults are welcomed to bring their own snacks while there will be free popcorn for the kids’ movie.
For those who like their stories in written form, Voyager Book Club meets at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, to discuss domestic fiction books. In this book club, everyone reads a book of their choice within the assigned genre. If you have read a good domestic fiction book lately, bring it to Voyager Book Club to share and discuss.
Does your family have a favorite dish that is served on holidays and special occasions? Prepare it and bring it to Revolving Recipe Round-Up to share with others. Everyone will bring their family favorites to share as well. Bring the recipe to share, too. The library will provide table service and coffee.
Reservations are being accepted for a tour of the local National Weather Service Station at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. The tour group will meet at the weather station, located on SR 13, north of North Webster. To go on the tour, you must sign up in advance at the library’s circulation desk or call (574) 834-7122. Space is limited, so sign up early to reserve your spot.
If you are looking for a constructive after-school activity, bring the kids to the library at 4 p.m. every Tuesday for Crafts and Stories. Kids work on crafts while listening to stories. It is free and open to children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
