Charles Bernard Cavert
Charles Bernard Cavert passed in peace on Sept. 13, 2019. He and his wife, Lisa, shared forty-eight years of marriage.
He was born in Peru, Sept.17,1945. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1963; attended Manchester College where he played football for two years before transferring to McPherson College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial arts. He later obtained his masters from Ball State University in 1973.
Charles was employed by Warsaw Community Schools for thirty-five years as an industrial arts instructor. He also worked in the sales department at Main Channel Marina for twenty-eight years.
He enjoyed boating, skiing, riding his Harley and fishing with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a teacher, mentor, coach and friend.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cilissa(Reid) Mellott and Ashley(Mark) Buuck; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sept. 17, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. His funeral service will be Sept. 18, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Chapel.
Private interment services will be held in Peoria Cemetery, Miami County.
