Update On Three-Way Collision South of Nappanee
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office issued an update on a three-way vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon, Oct. 4.
Numerous agencies responded to a three-way vehicle collision at the intersection of CR 1350 North and CR 950 West, near Nappanee, a news release from the Sheriff’s Office said.
The initial results of the investigation indicated that a 2018 Honda motorcycle operated by James Gluckin, 75, Elkhart, pulled into the path of a 2005 Honda Civic operated by Sky Allen, 23, Bremen.
Prior to the collision, Gluckin was traveling on his motorcycle southbound on CR 950 West, approaching CR 1350 North. Allen was traveling in her Honda Civic westbound on CR 1350 North, approaching CR 950 West.
Gluckin’s motorcycle also struck an eastbound horse and buggy operated by Anthony Chupp, 45, Nappanee. The collision caused minor injuries to the horse and damaged the buggy.
Gluckin was transported from the scene via the Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance for a possible broken leg. There were no other injuries reported, said the news release.
Also responding the to the scene were Nappanee Police Department, Nappanee Fire Department, Nappanee EMS, and the Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance.
