Eddie Eugene Krebs
Eddie Eugene Krebs, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
He was born on May 18, 1938, in Warsaw, to Garnet Lavon (Wood) Krebs and Elmer John Krebs. On Aug. 26, 1960, he was married to Anita Doreen (Anders) Krebs, who survives.
He was a 1956 graduate of Warsaw High School, and he served in the Army National Guard for many years. He worked for over 40 years for Dalton Foundry in Warsaw as the superintendent of processing retiring in 1993. After retirement he always kept busy, he especially loved to do yard work, delivered Meals on Wheels, and also made his services available to drive cancer patients to their appointments. He was a past member of Warsaw Church of God, where he worked the sound system and most recently, he had been attending Warsaw Community Church. He lived a full life and will be dearly missed by his family and countless friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Anita Doreen Krebs,Warsaw; daughter: Lori Krebs Riley, Warsaw; son: Kevin Eugene Krebs, Warsaw; granddaughter: Jennifer Craig, High Point, N.C.; and his great-grandson: Elias Craig, High Point, N.C. Also surviving are his brother: Richard (Ruby) Krebs, Warsaw; sister: Nancy Coffing, Gloucester, Va.; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Eddie’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Ronnie Patrick and Pastor Jamy Gregory. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana.
