The Lakes Area Autism Network (LAAN) has announced an event, Light the Sky for Autism Awareness Month. The event is scheduled to be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Central Park in Warsaw.

At the event, participants will launch lanterns designed to contrast with the evening sky and send an uplifting message on behalf of Autism.

“We hope these lanterns will be a visual reminder to all of the number of people on the autism spectrum,” said Vicki Martin with LAAN. Donations will help benefit LAAN, an affiliate of the Autism Society of Indiana and will help support families affected by Autism in and around Kosciusko County.

“This will enable us to continue our educational meetings by providing reimbursement for speakers and childcare,” Martin added.
