BREAKING: Two Injured In Slide Off Into Pole
MILFORD — A female driver and a male occupant were being checked by paramedics after their Ford SUV slid off the roadway and struck an electrical pole today, Monday, Nov. 11. The accident was at 12:50 p.m. on CR 1300N (Syracuse-Milford Road), east of CR 175E, northeast of Milford.
The Ford struck a main utility pole, snapping the pole leaving the top of the pole containing high voltage wires dangling dangerously. Fire officials went to the passenger side of the vehicle to help the passenger and driver safely out of the vehicle and into the awaiting ambulance.
It is unknown if the two occupants were transported to an area hospital.
It is expected CR 1300N will be closed for several hours until NIPSCO crews can replace the pole.
