WINONA LAKE – Vironnica Drake made national waves on Monday for Grace’s women’s basketball team as the NCCAA National Player of the Week.

Drake tallied 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game in a pair of Grace victories. Against Roosevelt, Drake amassed 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.

The Lady Lancers are off to a 4-0 start with all four wins by double digits. Grace will travel to No. 4 Indiana Tech on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

The Lady Lancers return home this weekend for the Hoops for Hope Tournament. Grace plays Grace Christian on Friday at 6 p.m. and Holy Family on Saturday at 2 p.m.
