Goshen Man Arrested For Alleged Theft From A Residence
WARSAW — A Goshen man was recently arrested on a warrant from Kosciusko County for the alleged theft of $8,000 in cash and clothing valued at $750 from a residence.
David Lee Oxford, 41, 58788 SR 15 103, Goshen, was arrested on one count of theft, a level 6 felony.
On Mar. 15, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft at a residence in Kosciusko County.
The occupant claimed he discovered $8,000 and some BKE brand clothing was missing from the residence. He said he discovered the money and missing items were missing after Oxford left the residence on Mar. 14, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
The occupant said Oxford had been staying at the residence for three weeks prior to the alleged theft.
On Mar. 16, Oxford was arrested on an active warrant by Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Following the arrest, officers found $4,400 on Oxford’s person. He was also wearing BKE brand pants. The occupant of the Warsaw residence later confirmed the BKE brand clothing as being stolen from the residence, said the affidavit.
On Nov. 13, Oxford was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail with a bond of $7,000 surety and cash.
