Winona Lake Woman Arrested For Meth Possession, Kicking Officer
WINONA LAKE — A Winona Lake woman was recently arrested after kicking an officer and being combative while in possession of drugs.
Colleen Marie Quinn, 35, 113 Mineral Springs Ave., Winona Lake, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, and battery to a law enforcement officer, all level 6 felonies; and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 18, an Indiana State Police officer learned that Quinn had an arrest warrant for failure to appear. The officer saw Quinn at a residence and approached her while identifying himself as an officer.
According to court documents, Quinn ran from the officer and the officer found Quinn hiding between two residences. While searching Quinn, the officer found digital scales with residue, a hypodermic needle and a wooden container with a white residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Quinn was loud and verbally combative during her arrest. As Quinn was being placed in the police cruiser, the officer attempted to retrieve Quinn’s phone. In an attempt to break the phone, Quinn began kicking and kicked the officer’s hands.
Quinn was released on her own recognizance. She has an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.
