Burgher Tabbed As New Tiger Soccer Skipper
WARSAW – Warsaw Community High School announced Friday morning that Ryan Burgher will take over as head coach for the boys soccer program, pending school board approval in January.
Burgher brings a host of soccer coaching experience to the Tiger program, including head coach of the Huntington University women’s soccer program from 2008-13. He will take over for Frank Courtois, who stepped down from the varsity club this past fall after a successful five-year stint that had Warsaw constantly ranked within the top 20 in the state.
Burgher founded AGAITAS in 2012, a non-profit organization that provides sport-specific camps and clinics free of charge to local families and residents. He is also the current president of the Warsaw Wave travel soccer club.
Burgher is a 2002 Warsaw graduate and former Tiger soccer player who went on to play at Grace College.
