Living Well Caregiver Educational Event Happening Thursday
WARSAW — The holidays can be a difficult time for those who have experienced some type of significant loss. “Coping with Losses: Navigating Rough Waters,” a free program, will be presented at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, by social workers Amy Kellar and Jeni Reilly, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
The program will take place at the Center for Healthy Living inside the YMCA at 1305 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.
While coping and grieving are defined differently, there is no right or wrong way to do either. Oftentimes, it depends on various factors such as personality, life experience, faith and the significance of the loss. During this conversation, plan to listen and learn about the various signs and stages of grief, how to cope, and doing self-care.
Living Well Third Thursdays are ongoing conversations with local senior care partners in the community discussing a different topic monthly. Those registered for the event will receive a piece of pie from Das Dutchman Essenhaus, sponsored by The Parkview Center for Healthy Living.
