Officers with the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:

10:57 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. Driver: Teresa D. Banghart, 53, West CR 800S, Claypool. Banghart said she fell asleep while driving. Her vehicle struck a stop sign. Damage up to $10,000. 

Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

1:23 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, Armstrong Road, Leesburg. Driver: Jordan D. Northrup, 32, Red Eye Drive, North Webster. Northrup’s vehicle struck a county sign. Damage up to $2,500. 

3:37 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Ian R. Vaughan, 36, South CR 675W Warsaw; and Dolores Cabello, 74, Logan Street, Hammond. The vehicles collided when Vaughan was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of US 30. All occupants of both vehicles were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for various injury complaints. Damage up to $25,000.

7:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, East CR 450N, Warsaw. Driver: Krystan M. Robbins, 34, East CR 450N, Warsaw. Robbins was backing out of her driveway when her vehicle struck a vehicle that was parked behind hers. The owner of the other vehicle said he was having issues with his vehicle on the way to work that morning so he pulled into Robbins’ driveway in order to get the vehicle off the road. He left a note on the windshield to let the homeowners know that a wrecker would be there to pick the vehicle up. Damage up to $10,000. 

7:38 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, Old Road 30, east of SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Greg Green, 43, SR 109, Columbia City. Green’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000. 

5:21 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, West CR 1250N, east of North CR 300W. Milford. Driver: John E. Stewart, 53, Zims Court, Milford. A horse entered the roadway and Stewart was unable to avoid striking the horse with his vehicle. Stewart’s vehicle then struck a utility pole. Damage up to $25,000. 

5:48 pm. Thursday, Dec. 26, US 30 and SR 19, Etna Green. Drivers: Daniel A. Dolbee, 38, North CR 700W, Warsaw; and Philip C. Walker, 37, Scott Street, Chicago, Ill. Dolbee said Walker’s vehicle entered Dolbee’s lane and sideswiped his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000. 

4:44 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, SR 15 and West CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Driver: Christopher D. Witham, 63, Broadway Street, Burket. Witham was traveling north on SR 15 behind another vehicle. Witham said the vehicle in front of him was preparing to make a left turn onto CR 1300S. The vehicle behind Witham’s vehicle started to pass Witham’s vehicle and the vehicle in front of his. When the driver of the vehicle in front of Witham’s saw that the other vehicle was attempting to pass, that driver applied the brakes, resulting in Witham swerving to avoid rear-ending the vehicle in front of him. Witham’s vehicle went off the roadway, then back onto the roadway, coming to rest on its side. Damage up to $5,000. 

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:

8:36 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, SR 15, north of Catherine Street, Milford. Driver: Jordan A. Bonilla, 17, Seville Court, Ligonier. Bonilla said he fell asleep while driving to work. This resulted in his vehicle going off the roadway and striking a utility pole and a tree. Bonilla was taken to the ER for complaint of pain in his chest and hand. Damage up to $50,000. 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:59 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Rhonda Hardy, 57, North CR 520W, Warsaw; and Aisha M. Cooper, 28, Tucker Street, Mentone. The vehicles collided in the roundabout. Damage up to $2,500. 

7:54 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Bailey A. Stiver, 21, North CR 150E, Warsaw; and Kyle M. Kurtz, 35, Lostcreek Shelby Road, Casstown, Ohio. The vehicles collided as Stiver was entering a parking lot and Kurtz was exiting the parking lot. Damage up to $5,000. 

3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, Market Street, Warsaw. A vehicle was damaged while parked at the Discount Warehouse of Warsaw parking lot. Damage up to $2,500. 

1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Alexius R. Rivera, 19, Anchorage Road, Warsaw;  and Janet V. Farrington, 48, EMS B23 Lane, Pierceton. Rivera was exiting the Kohl’s parking lot and believed traffic was clear so she pulled into the intersection where her vehicle collided with Farrington’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
