Man Faces Meth Charges After Allegedly Intimidating Walmart Customers
WARSAW— A North Manchester man was arrested for possession of meth after allegedly using a knife to intimidate customers at the Warsaw Walmart store.
Cody Lee Miller, 24, 12600 South SR 13, North Manchester, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 29, Warsaw Police were called to Walmart at 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. When police arrived, they talked with a man in checkout lane #9. The man identified himself as Miller. He was not displaying a knife at that time; however, he had two knives holstered on the belt of his pants.
Miller’s pupils were described in the police report as being dilated and he was allegedly making quick, erratic movements, which led police to suspect that he was under the influence of methamphetamine.
A pat-down of Miller was performed and police found multiple tubes in his right front pocket of Miller’s pants. The court paperwork did not indicate what was inside the tubes.
After some resistance, police were able to handcuff Miller. At the same time, multiple syringes fell from Miller’s hand to the floor. Three more syringes were found in Miller’s pockets — all three tested positive for methamphetamine.
Police also found a plastic bag in Miller’s possession that contained less than a half gram of methamphetamine.
Miller told police he is addicted to methamphetamine and had used it earlier that day.
Miller was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Dec. 29, on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
