K-9 Search Finds Drugs At WCHS
Two Warsaw Community High School students are facing drug charges after an unannounced random K-9 search was held at the school.
On Thursday morning the Warsaw Police Department and the Warsaw Community School system coordinated a random K-9 drug search at WCHS. Police narcotic K-9’s were used to sniff lockers, classrooms and vehicles on the school campus.
K-9’s alerted on two vehicles in the school parking lot and, subsequent searches revealed marijuana and paraphernalia in both vehicles. The students are facing criminal charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Assisting the Warsaw Police K-9 unit were Warsaw Police School Resource Officers, Winona Lake Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police.
The Warsaw Police Department continues to work closely with Warsaw Community Schools to provide a safe and drug free atmosphere for learning.
