NORTHFIELD GIRLS 54, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 49
Tippecanoe Valley couldn’t catch Northfield in a tight contest Thursday evening.
The Three Rivers Conference matchup on Rita Price Simpson Court had Northfield lead by as much as nine, 48-39, in the fourth quarter. Valley would claw back to trail by three, 49-46, but couldn’t slice the lead any further.
Jillian Walls led the Vikes with 13 points with Emma Craig right behind with 12 points and Sidney Wagner at 11 points.
The loss was the first in the TRC for Valley, falling to 4-1 overall, and the win by Northfield moves the Norse into first place by a half game at 5-1 overall.
The Valley JV won its game by a 45-26 count. Rily Holloway led the way for the hosts with 13 points and Corinna Stiles ended with 11 points.
WARSAW 9TH GRADE BOYS 46, NORTHRIDGE 40
Warsaw won its third game in Northern Lakes Conference play with a win over the Raiders. Drew Heckaman led the Tigers with 16 points and Russ Winchester added 12 points.
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE BOYS 34, MANCHESTER 27
Andrew Potter had a full night for the Tigers, leading the team with 10 points and nine rebounds. Noah Vanpuffelen added seven points and five steals, and Matthew Mulligan and Jayvone Williams had six points apiece.
LAKEVIEW 7TH GRADE BOYS 46, MANCHESTER 15
The Tigers moved to 17-0 with a lopsided win led by Lucas Bricker’s 22 points. Wyatt Dawson had six points and 12 rebounds, Kellan Bailey added 11 rebounds and Carson Gould added five points, eight assists and four steals.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 7TH GRADE GIRLS 35, SOUTHWOOD 8
In the first game of the seventh grade season, Valley used 16 points from Mackaylie Costello to overwhelm the Knights. Avery Wagoner had eight points, Emma Patrick had six points and four rebounds, and Lydia Craig had five points.
