Triton Scholars Successful In District 2 DECA Competition
BOURBON — Triton scholars had a successful showing at the District 2 DECA Competition, Jan. 8.
Triton DECA had its best showing yet in Miss Tracie Knisely’s six years as the advisor, said a news release from Trition Schools.
DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe, according to the organization’s website.
“We are so proud of how hard each of these students worked this year to reach their goal of making it to the state competition,” said Triton Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.
Triton DECA has eight of it nine competitors set to go on to the state competition, said the news release.
Results from the competition are as follows:
- 1st Place – Hospitality Services-Lilly Hubert & Madeline Ritchison
- 2nd Place – Apparel & Accessories-Tiffaney Hughes
- 3rd Place – Human Resource Management-Whytnie Miller
- 4th Place – Sports & Entertainment Marketing-Anthony Stevens
- 5th Place- Sports & Entertainment Marketing Team-Jordan Cox & Emma Lemler
- 5th place – Business Services Marketing-Lokie Doll
