Four More Candidates File For Seats In 2020 Primary
WARSAW – Four more candidates from Kosciusko County – all Republicans – filed this week to run in county-level races in the 2020 primary.
The filing period began Wednesday morning, Jan. 8, and will continue to Feb. 7.
The four who filed this week include:
- Cary Groninger, an incumbent from Mentone, filed for middle district county commissioner
- Brad Jackson, an incumbent from Syracuse, filed for northern district county commissioner
- Anthony Ciriello, an incumbent from Winona Lake, filed for county coroner
- Rhonda Helser, an incumbent from Warsaw, filed for county treasurer
These filings are in addition to seven who filed last week, making a total of 11 filings so far — all Republican. The seven who filed last week include:
- Ann Torpy, an incumbent from Mentone, filed for county clerk
- Michael Kissinger, an incumbent from North Webster, filed for county surveyor
- Marcia Baumgartner, of Milford, filed for county commissioner in the northern district
- Sue Ann Mitchell, an incumbent from Warsaw, filed for county council
- Joni Truex, an incumbent from Warsaw, filed for county council
- Kimberly Cates, an incumbent from Syracuse, filed for county council
- David Cates, an incumbent from Syracuse, filed for Superior Court 1 judge
- Robert Bishop, of Warsaw, filed for Superior Court 3 judge
- Karin McGrath, of Warsaw, filed for Superior Court 3 judge.
