Indiana Fever GM Is Keynote Speaker For ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ Luncheon
WARSAW — Combined Community Services will host Indiana Fever General Manager, Tamika Catchings, as it’s featured speaker for the first annual Love Thy Neighbor Luncheon, Feb. 19.
The Love Thy Neighbor Luncheon will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Christ Covenant Church, 2090 East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake, said a news release from the Kosciusko Chamber.
Catchings is a retired professional basketball player. She is best known for playing her entire carrier in the WNBA with Indiana Fever. While playing with the Indiana Fever, Catchings won several awards over her 15-year career. Along the way, she won a WNBA Championship, four Olympic gold medals and five WNBA Defensive player of the year awards.
She also published her memoir, “Catch a Star: Shining Through Adversity to Become a champion,” in 2016.
Catchings currently serves as vice president of basketball operations and general manager for the Indiana Fever.
