Game Fest Offers Hundreds Of Games At Sacred Heart Saturday
WARSAW – Something new in Warsaw – Lake City Game Fest – will debut Saturday at Sacred Heart elementary’s gym and will include a choice of more than 759 tabletop games.
The charity event is organized by Chimp’s Comix of Warsaw.
Games are being supplied by Gen Con Games Library, which serves as a traveling board game library, said Nick Kelley, owner of Chimp’s Comix.
Kelley said on the company’s Facebook page that in future years, they hope to bring a larger amount of games.
“This event sets the groundwork for future events with the library,” he said.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. and continues until 10 p.m. The church is at 135 N. Harrison St., Warsaw.
All the games are free to play after paying a $10 admission fee. Families can get in for $40.
Attendees under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Door prizes will be given out all day long and some will even include full tabletop games.
All profits will be donated to two charities: Warsaw Community Meals provided by the Knights of Columbus, and St. John Paul II School in Kenscoff, Haiti.
