Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

7:39 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, North CR 425W, south of West CR 900N, Warsaw. Driver: Christopher M. Barnes, 34, Elm Street, Nappanee. Barnes’ vehicle left the road, went into a field and rolled. Barnes complained of general body pain and was treated and released at the scene by medics. Damage up to $25,000. 

8:16 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert B. Gardiner, 37, North CR 150E, Warsaw; and Seth R. Adams, 32, Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Gardiner was driving south on CR 150W and attempting to make a left turn onto SR 15. Gardiner’s vehicle entered the roadway in the path of Adams’ vehicle, and Adams’ vehicle struck Gardiner’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000. 

5:54 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, East CR 800N, Syracuse. Drivers: Amy M. Pavel, 23, Huntington Street, North Webster; and Amy D. Hill, 45, 3rd Trail, North Webster. Pavel lost control of her vehicle and entered Hill’s lane of travel. The vehicles collided. Pavel suffered chest injuries. Hill had minor bleeding to her face. A minor passenger in Hill’s vehicle complained of neck pain. Damage up to $100,000. 

1:07 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, SR 19, Nappanee. Driver: Maricela C. Torres, 35, Prairie Street, Leesburg. Torres’ vehicle went off the road and Ito a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side. Damage up to $25,000. 

10:04 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, Lung Lane, east of East CR 1050N, Syracuse. Driver: David P. Herring, 54, Beaverbrook Drive, Fort Wayne. Herring’s vehicle slid on the roadway, striking a stop sign. Damage up to $10,000. 

5:14 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, South CR 250E, Warsaw. Drivers: Alicia N. Crace, 29, Sharon Street, Winona Lake; and Daniel Gordon, 42, SR 25, Warsaw. Crace said she did not see Gordon’s vehicle as she was making a left turn from the Marathon gas station onto South CR 250E. The vehicles collided. Damage up to $25,000. 

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

7:42 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, West Main Street, east of North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Thomas J. Omovudu, 43, 8th Street, Goshen. Omovudu’s vehicle slid off the roadway and sideswiped two parked, unoccupied vehicles. Damage up to $5,000.
