Meth Found At Milford Sports Event, Woman Arrested
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman is facing charges after allegedly dropping a bag containing methamphetamine at a school sporting event in Milford.
Amanda Lee Medley, 34, 2508 West Side Drive, Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 19, 2019, a school resource officer was patrolling the halls of Milford School during a basketball game.
The officer noticed a small pink, ziplock-style bag containing a white powder substance lying on the floor in the hallway outside the gym.
The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 0.9 grams.
Upon reviewing school surveilance video, a woman can be seen dropping something from her right side moments before the school resource officer is seen in the video picking the ziplock-type bag up off the floor.
The woman was identified as Medley.
According to school officials, Medley is believed to have been a spectator at the basketball game and is not an employee of the school.
Medley was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail March 4, on an $11,000 surety and cash bond.
