Drake Earns Fourth National Award
WINONA LAKE – Vironnica Drake picked up one more weekly award in her collegiate finale.
Grace College’s star senior was named the NCCAA National Player of the Week for the fourth time this season; no other player in the nation won the award more than twice.
Drake poured in 23 points, five rebounds and four steals to beat Concordia in NCCAA Regionals. Grace would have played in the 2020 NCCAA National Championships this week except the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Lady Lancers ended their season 19-13, setting the program record for best winning percentage (.594) in its 44-year history.
