Board Of Realtors Scholarship Program Is Underway
WARSAW — The Kosciusko Board of Realtors will extend its rich history of community involvement by awarding three Kosciusko County students each a $1,000 scholarship in 2020.
KBOR has awarded $78,000 in scholarships since 1993 to foster and invest in tomorrow’s Kosciusko County leaders. This scholarship is specifically designed to assist bright and motivated students as they strive to achieve all of their educational goals. The 2019 winners used their scholarships to pursue degrees in dental hygiene, elementary education and finance with one winner planning to enlist and become an officer in the United States Air Force after graduation.
Three years ago, KBOR presented the first “Spirit of the Heart” award. This award goes to one of the scholarship winners that in addition to scholastic achievement goes out of their way in serving their community. The award honors Realtor professionals who have been lost that touched their community throughout their lives. The fourth annual “Spirit of the Heart” award, sponsored by Union Home Mortgage, will be presented to a scholarship winner again this year.
Any high school student or student currently enrolled in college from Kosciusko County is eligible to apply. The submission deadline is Friday, May 1. Winners will be announced on Monday, May 4. Applications can be downloaded or completed online. Applicants can also request an application by e-mail at [email protected].
