WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after allegedly battering and threatening a woman.
Timothy Christopher Bondy, 24, 885 Pine Mills Road, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present and strangulation, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery and intimidation, both class A misdemeanors.
On May 7, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer responded to a domestic violence report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with a woman, who said she had been arguing with a man, later identified as Bondy. According to court documents, the woman said the argument started because Bondy came home from work intoxicated. Bondy allegedly destroyed items in the residence by hitting them with a hammer, at times close to where a child was located.
Bondy then grabbed the woman by her upper arms and throat, throwing her to the ground. At one point, the woman called 911 and during a conversation with a dispatcher, the connection ended. Bondy put the woman in a chokehold, and the woman woke up on the floor shortly before officers arrived.
Bondy then spoke with officers about the incident. He admitted to breaking items in the house but denied all further inquiries.
After being booked in the Kosciusko County Jail, Bondy called the woman and told her “she needed to fix it,” referring to his battery arrest, and that “she needed to do something really quick before he gets really angry.”
