SYRACUSE — The 2020 Wawasee FFA Awards Banquet was held via a YouTube premiere Friday, May 29, and can still be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L3JYNms_s8.

The 2019-20 Wawasee FFA Chapter officers and advisors recognized sponsors, honored the graduating seniors and presented awards. The officers are as follows:

President — Evan Coblentz

Vice President — Josh Wuthrich

Student Advisor — EllaMae Reiff

Secretary — Leina Helfers

Treasurer — Logan Hollar

Reporter — Jacob Wilkinson

Sentinel — Arrington Krull

The chapter recognized corporate and award sponsors in a special slide show. This year’s corporate and award sponsors were: Bart’s Water Sports; Dr. Gervas and Ann Schafer; Arlen and Shirley Bobeck; Sherm Bryant; Clunette Elevator; Crestview Farms; Mark and Denise Grady; Horizon Bank; Jackson Oil & Solvents; Knights of Columbus; Northern Indiana Johnnie Poppers; Doug and Doreen Ruch; Sands Office Equipment; Schlipf Precision Ag; Doug and Jill Shock; Tom Farms LLC; and Randy and Eldonna Warren. The sponsors support the organization’s award and scholarship fund, national activities fund and college credits fund.

A slide show presentation of member’s projects and activities preceded the member awards presentation. Middle school members were recognized for earning their Discovery Degrees. Qualifying first and second year members also received their Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, respectively. Students who participated in state career development events were awarded with their state pins.
