Kosciusko County Sees 26 New COVID-19 Cases

WARSAW — Between noon Wednesday, July 22, and noon Friday, July 24, the Kosciusko County Health Department reported a total of 26 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the county’s total number of reported cases to 747, with eight deaths.
Currently, 534 Kosciusko County residents have recovered from COVID-19. Eleven cases are hospitalized active cases, with 194 classified as active. A “hospitalized active case” consists of any active cases that are currently or have been hospitalized at all during their illness. However, consistent with non-hospitalized cases, once their 21-day active period is completed, they are considered recovered.
The Marshall County Health Department recently reported two new COVID-19 deaths, which brings the county’s total to 18. Marshall County has 695 positive cases. More than 6,300 COVID-19 tests have been administered in the county.
Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 2,687.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 60,598. More than 678,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.
Locally, Fulton County has 105 positive cases, Whitley County has 129 positive cases and Wabash County has 137 positive cases. Noble County has 591 positive cases and Elkhart County has 4,244 positive cases, which is up from 4,150 reported on Wednesday, July 22.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 6,526 positive cases, which is up from 6,379 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 3,278 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 2,716 positive cases, which is up from 2,605 reported on Wednesday.
Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 13,409, which is up from 13,094 reported on Wednesday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 1,230,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
