North Webster Friends Of The Library To Hold Book Sale
Press Release
NORTH WEBSTER — With people spending more time at home these days, reading has become a popular form of entertainment. If you are running low on reading material, stock up at the Friends of the North Webster Community Public Library book sale on Thursday, Sept. 24, and Friday, Sept. 25.
The book sale will take place in the library’s event room where hundreds of good quality, gently used books, DVDs and puzzles will be available for purchase. Buyers will find a wide variety of books for adults and children including fiction and non-fiction along with popular authors. Movie DVDs for all ages will also be for sale. Sale hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday. Proceeds from the sale go to support the work of the library.
If you have put on a few “corona-pounds” during recent months, you can move to take them off at the library’s weekly Let’s Move dance/exercise class that starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct 1. During the weekly class, dance videos will be displayed on a large television screen while participants dance along as a form of exercise. It is a fun way to work out while learning new dance steps as well. Open to adults of all ages and fitness levels, the class is free and will be held in the library’s south meeting room, where there is plenty of room to dance and social distance. No pre-registration is required.
North Webster Community Public Library invites the public to an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, to explore its new facility. Light refreshments and building tools will be available. However, check-out services and public computers will not be available during the open house. To protect the health and safety of all, facial coverings and social distancing are expected.
