Tigers, Warriors Fighting Together
Staff Report
SYRACUSE – Both schools may be rivals on the athletic field, but the Kosciusko County neighbors have come together in the past and will do so once again for a greater cause.
The Pink Out ‘We Fight Together’ campaign is a fundraiser campaign put together by both schools to raise money and support for those close to the schools battling breast cancer.
October is dubbed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in accordance, Wawasee will be supporting one of its own, teacher and coach Tracy Walesa, and Warsaw will work for a host of staff members.
The teams will come together rallying around the annual ‘W’ Game football contest on October 2 in Syracuse.
Shirts are being sold as part of the effort, with a link below to preorder. Sales of the shirts will go directly to the school’s chosen beneficiaries. Those looking to help can purchase a shirt at the link provided, or contact either Wawasee or Warsaw athletic offices for more details.
