North Webster Library: Automatic Renewals, No Fines
Press Release
NORTH WEBSTER — If you have been reluctant to borrow library materials because of late fees, you no longer have anything to worry about. That’s because North Webster Community Public Library offers automatic renewals with no late fines.
Whenever you borrow a book, it automatically renews every three weeks up to nine weeks. Automatic renewals do not apply to items with holds placed on them by other patrons. If your borrowed items are eligible for renewal, they must be returned after nine weeks or can be checked out again.
Can you not make it to North Webster Library to return borrowed items? They can be dropped off at any Evergreen library throughout the state. In turn, North Webster Library accepts returns from other Evergreen libraries as well. Although there are over 100 Evergreen libraries in Indiana, not every library is part of the statewide Evergreen system. So when you are borrowing from one library and returning to another, make sure both libraries are part of the Evergreen system.
If there is a particular book or movie you want that is not available at North Webster Library, the staff may be able to obtain it for you through interlibrary loan. Just ask at the circulation desk.
Can you not remember what you have checked out or borrowed in the past? View and manage your library account online from the library’s website. Click on the Library Catalog tab on the home page, then click on My Account in the upper right hand corner. Log into your account using your library card number and PIN. If you do not know your PIN, you can obtain one by calling the circulation desk at (574) 834-7122. Once logged in, you can view checked out items, due dates, check out history, make a list of books and movies you would like to borrow and more.
