Homecoming Week At Wawasee Minus Parade
News Release
SYRACUSE — Although there will be no parade and the pep rally will be virtual (pending approval), it’s still homecoming week for Wawasee High School.
Each day of the week has a dress up theme, a cafeteria competition and locker decorating with the exception of Wednesday, Sept. 30, which is an eLearning day and students will not be attending school in person. Monday’s dress up theme was candy land pajamas, Tuesday’s is twin day, Thursday’s is camouflage and Friday’s is pink out shirts.
Cafeteria competitions are featuring trivia with different subjects. Locker decorating is being done before and after school with judging and the announcing of winners Friday.
A virtual pep rally is tentatively scheduled for Friday pending administrative approval.
During halftime of Friday evening’s football game against visiting Warsaw, the homecoming king and queen will be announced from among four male and four female candidates.
